Candace Goforth
Candace Goforth is a senior business journalist with an established a reputation for spotting trends and providing sophisticated analysis. A long-time business reporter for the Akron Beacon Journal, she now contributes to national and regional publications.
Candace is a Knight Fellow in Workplace Journalism, an honor bestowed by the Knight Center for Specialized Journalism. “Polite Company,” her popular Beacon Journal column on workplace culture and etiquette, was syndicated by the Knight Ridder news service and appeared regularly in daily newspapers nationwide.
Candace is a former associate editor of Cleveland Magazine, where she won the Cleveland Press Club’s “Ohio Excellence in Journalism” Award for managing and editing the magazine’s 25th anniversary issue.
Now consulting, Candace makes her media experience available to corporate clients, who seek her expertise with press releases, speeches and other writing and editing projects. She is a graduate of Kent State University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
